High performance waterproofer designed to revitalise insulation and breathability for all animal coats and rugs. Easy to use in a washing machine, non flammable and PFC free. For waterproofing animal rugs.

How To Use:

Apply Nikwax Rug Proof in the washing machine.

IMPORTANT: Shake bottle before use. Conventional detergent can damage water-repellency. Always clean rug first with Nikwax® Rug Wash in a separate wash cycle. Do not dry before waterproofing.

Industrial Size Washing Machine:

Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
Place maximum of 1 clean rug in washing machine.
Add 500ml of Rug Proof.
Run a 30°C synthetic cycle on a slow spin, with an extra rinse if possible.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.

Use Nikwax Rug Proof by hand

IMPORTANT: Use gloves.

Immerse clean item in 7.5L of warm water.
Add 50ml of PolarProof.
Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
Rinse in cold water until water runs clear.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.

Sponge on Nikwax Rug Proof

IMPORTANT: Use gloves.

Spread clean rug on clean area and wet thoroughly.
For 1 rug, mix 500ml with 1.5L of warm water.
Use new sponge to apply solution to rug, working into fabric and seams.
Leave for 5 minutes.
Rinse in cold water until water runs clear.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.

Our delivery partners require us to raise any loss or damage investigations within specific timeframes. Prompt notification ensures we can take action on your behalf. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Delays: While we aim to meet the estimated delivery timeframes, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including adverse weather, transport disruptions, industrial action, or customs procedures. We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and keep customers informed where possible.
Customs & Duties: Deliveries within the EU are not subject to additional customs duties or import taxes.
Incorrect Address & Uncollected Parcels: Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly at checkout. If an order is returned to us due to:
- An incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the customer
- Failure to collect the parcel from a designated parcel shop or delivery point within the required timeframe
we reserve the right to deduct the original shipping costs and any return shipping or handling fees incurred from the refund amount. Original shipping costs are non-refundable in such circumstances.
Failed Delivery Attempts: If delivery attempts are unsuccessful, the courier may attempt redelivery or hold the parcel at a local collection point. It is the customer's responsibility to follow the courier's instructions to ensure successful delivery. Failure to respond to delivery notifications may result in the parcel being returned to us.
Back-order Supplier Orders: If an item is being sourced from one of our suppliers, estimated delivery is approximately 10–15 working days from the date of order. Once the stock has been received into our EU warehouse, it will be dispatched to you as quickly as possible. All delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by supplier processing times or transport delays beyond our control.

Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to overseas countries (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Reunion Islands, New Caledonia and Polynesia). We apologise for this inconvenience.

Returns

Items can be returned to us within 60 days of purchase in a clean, undamaged, unused and resaleable condition (including original packaging).
For overseas customers, we've partnered with ReBOUND to make returns simple and more affordable. Customers are responsible for the cost of return. More details.
