Let's talk about sustainability...

This year, we've really seen all our brands tuning their eye into current environmental issues and listening to how their customers feel. Their efforts have been shown through some newly launched products, that have been manufactured in a way that is more ECO-Friendly than others. This can be anything from using recycled plastic for material to offering products without harmful, environmentally damaging chemicals.

 

Let's start with Ariat...

Ariat has put a number of sustainable initiatives in place in its efforts to look after the environment, people, and animals. Ariat work with various companies, or have made their own branded ECO technologies. This not only helps educate their customers but also highlights how important this strategy is to them. BLUESIGN® CERTIFIED

They work closely with fabric mills that are BLUESIGN certified, ensuring these fabrics are created with sustainably responsible resources and processes. The chemicals, processes, and materials we use demonstrate our commitment to protecting people and the environment.

ECODRY™ TECHNOLOGY

Earth-friendly waterproofing. EcoDRY™ technology offers protection against the elements without harmful, environmentally damaging chemicals.

ETHICALLY SOURCED WOOL

Ariat is committed to preventing unnecessary harm in our ethical wool product supply chain. They have established clear sourcing requirements to ensure our ethical wool products are derived from sheep which were treated respectfully, on farms dedicated to progressive land management practices to reduce the detrimental impact on the land where they are raised. For the wool used in Ariat’s ethical wool products, Ariat has adopted the internationally recognized Five Freedoms standard, as our guiding principle for the treatment of animals used in the production of these materials.

Weatherbeeta Green-Tec

Weatherbeeta introduced their Green-Tec ideology to help reduce any plastic waste. Their Green-Tec range uses recycled plastics for the outer fabric and lining. Each turnout rug saves over 340 plastic bottles! With each dog coat saving approximately 19 plastic bottles from going into landfills or the ocean - it all adds up with the number of rugs they manufacture!

We also love that the Green Tec rugs use 50% less energy to produce than a traditional rug.  Globally, WeatherBeeta have saved a staggering 3,256,791 plastic bottles from the ocean since launching the Green-Tec range. This number continues to grow with every Green-Tec rug produced.
