Full Grain Leather Construction

Both Valkyria styles are crafted from a durable yet supple full grain leather upper with a smooth leather lining throughout. The leather provides a refined, close feel against the leg and improves with wear, while remaining practical enough for year-round use in varying conditions. Elastic panels on both styles accommodate different leg and foot shapes, providing a comfortable fit without sacrificing the clean profile of the upper.

Valkyria Tall Riding Boot

The Valkyria Tall Riding Boot is a full-length leather long boot suited to schooling, competition and everyday riding. The strong YKK No.10 zipper runs the full length of the back of the boot, with button closures at the top and lower shaft for a secure, neat finish. The integrated spur rest provides practical convenience for competition riders, and the MST (Motion Stabilisation Technology) metal shank provides structural stability underfoot during both riding and walking. The Vertycore sole system runs throughout, with a multi-layered cushioning insole, pressure-reducing midsole and impact-absorbing heel pad for exceptional comfort through long days in the saddle.

Valkyria Side Zip Paddock Boot

The Valkyria Side Zip Paddock Boot brings the same leather quality and Vertycore technology to a shorter format suited to everyday riding, yard use and competition with half chaps. The resilient YKK metal No.7 zipper sits at the front side of the boot for easy entry, with a fixed supporting elastic lace maintaining the traditional appearance of the upper. Elastic panels at the sides allow flexibility through the ankle and accommodate different foot shapes, while the Vertycore multi-layered cushioning insole and impact-reducing heel pad provide the same underfoot comfort as the tall boot. Available in Black and Brown.

The Vertycore Sole System

Both Valkyria styles use Mountain Horse's Vertycore sole system, which combines a multi-layered lightweight cushioning polyurethane insole, a pressure-reducing midsole and a full impact-reducing heel cavity pad to absorb shock at every stage of contact. The durable Vertycore rubber outsole features a diagonally inverted contour gripping tread that provides reliable traction in the stirrup and on varied ground surfaces.

Fit and Sizing

The Valkyria range is available in EU sizes. Refer to the Mountain Horse size guide and measure both foot length and calf circumference before ordering the tall boot to ensure the correct shaft width and foot size combination.
