What inspired the Tri-Zone All Sports Boots?
Brushing boots are traditionally used across all disciplines. However, in general, they tend to only provide protection from brushing and are made from a non-breathable neoprene. Equilibrium wanted to create something that could truly be used for any activity, with all round protection. Alongside this protection, Equilibrium wanted to ensure maximum comfort for the horse, as well as taking into account leg health. Therefore, the super lightweight, breathable, flexible, and protective boot known as All Sports Boots was born!

The boot design uses a four-layer system, each chosen for their unique properties.
The first layer is providing an inner lining that sits against the horses' leg. Made from perforated EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate), the liner sits comfortably against the leg. The perforations allow heat to escape and aids breathability, while the flexibility of the material allows it to mould to the horses' leg.
Layer two is a strong nylon mesh. This adds another layer of protection to the sports boots, but also stops any debris making its way into the boot towards your horses' leg.
Layer three is the internal guard made from vinyl - a strong, durable and moisture resistant material. This layer is placed over the vulnerable tendon area and is made with strips of material to allow it to mould around the horses leg. This allows the horse to move freely without the feeling of a ‘splint’.
Lastly, the outer layer is an EVA waffle. Commonly used in the soles of human shoes and as padding on sports equipment, this material is durable, breathable, and protective! We’ve made sure it's easy to clean and maintain too!

Wat was de inspiratiebron voor de Tri-Zone All Sports Boots
Brushing boots worden van oudsher in alle disciplines gebruikt. Over het algemeen bieden ze echter alleen bescherming tegen schuren en zijn ze gemaakt van niet-ademend neopreen. Equilibrium wilde iets ontwikkelen dat echt voor elke activiteit gebruikt kon worden en volledige bescherming bood. Naast deze bescherming wilde Equilibrium ook zorgen voor maximaal comfort voor het paard en rekening houden met de gezondheid van de benen. Zo ontstonden de superlichte, ademende, flexibele en beschermende laarzen die bekend staan als de All Sports Boots!
Bescherming die de All Sports Boots voor paarden bieden.
Het ontwerp van de beschermingslaars maakt gebruik van een vierlaags systeem, waarbij elke laag is gekozen vanwege zijn unieke eigenschappen.
De eerste laag vormt een binnenvoering die direct tegen het been van het paard aanligt. Deze voering is gemaakt van geperforeerd EVA (ethyleen-vinylacetaat) en sluit comfortabel aan op het been. Door de perforaties kan warmte ontsnappen en wordt het ademend vermogen bevorderd, terwijl het materiaal dankzij zijn flexibiliteit zich naar het been van het paard vormt.
Laag twee bestaat uit een sterk nylon gaas. Dit voegt een extra beschermingslaag toe aan de sportbeschermers, maar voorkomt ook dat vuil in de beschermer terechtkomt en het been van je paard bereikt.
Laag drie is de interne bescherming van vinyl – een sterk, duurzaam en vochtbestendig materiaal. Deze laag wordt over het kwetsbare peesgebied geplaatst en is gemaakt van stroken materiaal, zodat deze zich om het paardenbeen kan vormen. Hierdoor kan het paard zich vrij bewegen zonder het gevoel van een ‘spalk’ te hebben.
Ten slotte bestaat de buitenste laag uit EVA-wafelmateriaal. Dit materiaal, dat vaak wordt gebruikt in de zolen van schoenen en als vulling in sportuitrusting, is duurzaam, ademend en beschermend! We hebben er ook voor gezorgd dat het gemakkelijk te reinigen en te onderhouden is!
