The first thing you’ll notice is its deceptively simple and uncluttered design. Look more closely and you’ll see how there’s width in the shoulders and room in the body for full and easy movement while riding. That’s just the start, though.

There are stretch panels in areas where you need lots of flexibility, such as the shoulders and elbows, so you can flow with your horse’s athletic performance across country. What you can’t see but can feel the instant you put the jacket on, is the smooth finish inside the sleeves so that they slip effortlessly onto your arms. The body of the jacket is lined with stretch microfleece for warmth.

What about its performance in bad weather? The Cartmel is a Musto BR2 jacket, which means it’s lightweight, breathable and waterproof even during torrential rain. Plus, the seams are taped which creates the best waterproof seal. In addition, the jacket has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating to add more protection against the wet.

The inner LYCRA® stretch cuffs also have DWR coating to repel water at these susceptible spots. The adjustable rollaway hood keeps rain off the face very effectively and the scooped back hem means there’s additional cover for the lower back while engaged in active riding.

It’s easy care, being machine washable at 30°; and, with its signature reflective print, always looks top-notch.
