Prolaze-Flexnotch Technology

The Sovereign's most distinctive feature is Mountain Horse's exclusive Prolaze-Flexnotch Technology, which promotes a more comfortable heels-down riding position by allowing greater freedom of movement at the ankle joint. The Flexnotch cut into the back of the boot's ankle allows the ankle to flex more naturally in the stirrup, reducing the effort required to maintain the correct leg position and improving comfort over long rides.

Full Grain Leather Construction

The Sovereign is made from premium full grain leather throughout, with a soft premium selected genuine leather lining for a refined feel against the leg. The high Spanish cut topline and nine sets of eyelets with fixed elastic lacing give the boot its traditional, elegant profile, while the durable hidden elastic along the side of the full-length YKK Vislon rear zipper provides a comfortable, contoured fit that accommodates different calf shapes without sacrificing the clean line of the upper.

ShockX Advanced Insole

The ergonomically designed removable ShockX Advanced insole provides cushioning and impact absorption underfoot, reducing fatigue through long days competing or schooling. The Exceptional High-Density outsole features grip-responsive ripple zones for improved traction in the stirrup and on the ground, and an integrated tempered steel shank provides stability for both riding and walking.

Sovereign LUX

The Sovereign LUX is the premium version of the Sovereign, featuring enhanced detailing and an elevated construction for riders who want the finest leather long boot available in the Mountain Horse range. Available in Black at The Drillshed.

Fit and Sizing

The Sovereign is available in EU foot sizes across multiple shaft width and height options. The boot fits similarly to the Veganza in foot sizing. Inflatable boot trees are included in the box to help maintain the boot's shape between wears.
