The smart, lightweight YR8 from Charles Owen is designed especially to meet the needs of young riders. This is a truly elegant riding hat that combines the best features of both traditional riding hats and contemporary helmets.

First and foremost, its safety standards are ideal for competitive junior riders as the hats are Kitemarked to PAS015:2011, as well as kitemarked and CE marked to VG1 01.040 2014-12. This means the hat is perfect for showjumping, hacking and general riding, as well as new rider & Riding Club activities.

Youngsters love wearing it too, with its lower profile and more sleek appearance when compared to a traditional riding hat. They find it very comfortable to wear as well, which encourages them to keep it on. Meanwhile, you can be confident that the hard outer shell and its highly shock absorbent liner are protecting your child’s head when they’re in the saddle.

What’s more, four discreet ventilation panels keep the youngsters cool, adding to the comfort levels and so promoting the idea of wearing it constantly.
