As the sun finally graces us with its presence and temperatures begin their ascent, it's that time of year again—spring, where we experience all four seasons in a single day! For Jess, who is a fairly warm horse and stays clipped year-round, finding the perfect balance of keeping her cool while safeguarding her from the whims of spring weather and those relentless flies becomes my top priority.

Firstly I cant express enough how light weight this rug is. The water-resistant 600 denier polyester fabric ensures your horse stays dry during light rain showers but allows the breathability we all need this time of year.

 

UV protection is a hot topic this year for us and our horses alike. Horses with light coloured coats and pink skin are as susceptible to sunburn and skin damage as we are. In addition this rug has many other benefits you would expect from Weatherbeeta including wither relief pads to help reduce pressure and a large tail flap for maximum coverage. The shaped back panel provides a better fit for the curve of the horses back and the lined shoulders, over the neck and under tail flap to prevent rubbing.
