Of course, this rug is fully waterproof, with a 220g polyfil keeping your horse toasty on those wet, chilly days. More importantly, the rug is breathable, allowing air to the skin so any sweat will evaporate, again ensuring your horses' warmth without catching a chill or overheating. The rug also features a detach-a-neck for a versatile fit. The neck attaches at the withers, here you will see the wonderfully innovative wither relief pads. These are made from memory foam, which contours to your horse’s shape, lifting the rug from any pressure on the withers – optimal comfort for your horse! The traditional large side gussets help towards that ideal comfort allowing natural freedom of movement.  It also has reflective detailing on the large tail flap and underneath the Ezi-clip front for extra safety and protection.

 

                                   

 

Did Flo approve?

I love this rug for Flo! Not only do I adore the great colour combinations (my favourite being the grey and burgundy of course) but I also found this fit Flo perfectly. For a small thoroughbred, she has quite broad shoulders, where I would find some rugs rub, or become too tight, restricting Flo’s movement. However, I can strongly say this rug not only has a great satin feel on the inside to prevent hair loss, but also plenty of room for movement due to the side gussets!

The shape of the detach-a-neck contours to Flo’s face-neck structure, again helping with no constraint when it comes to grazing. And, as some know, thoroughbreds are the drama queens of the equine world, they can be overly sensitive to pressure or restrictions – my mind is at ease when it comes to this rug due to the luxury of the wither relief pads, they really are magic! I also love that these rugs are machine washable – very handy for the current weather. They also come with a 3-year warranty. I would say for sure; these rugs are worth the investment for our cheeky horses, a purchase for a durable rug, one that will last your horse antics in the field!
